Father Mike Schmitz says, “…Catechism teaches that the priest must do penance for all those who come to him for Confession.” So, basically, a priest will tell someone to say one Hail Mary as penance, but the priest himself may fast for thirty days for that same person! They are truly representing Christ! I thought I loved them before, but this takes my admiration for Catholic priests to a new level. God bless our priests!!!
